Facilities
Our campus is located on 6,000 acres in Florissant, CO. Buildings center around our dining hall, which we call "the lodge." Students, counselors, and teachers stay in one of ten fully furnished and heated cabins. Our main campus also includes a large meeting building, Heisler Hall; our fully-equipped infirmary, lovingly called "Penicillin Palace"; and our hands-on science museum, the Interbarn.
Students hike to a variety of locations, all within a few miles of our main campus, both for recreation and as a part of their Discovery Groups. An authentic 1890's homestead, a renewable energy trailer, a fully-operational 1930's sawmill, a replica Ute encampment, and a four-story tree house are all part of our educational curriculum and make an experience up at High Trails unique.
Our infirmary houses a registered nurse who is available 24 hours a day. For questions regarding your student's health needs, call 719-748-3341.
